Hello All,

I have a 4520C and as of late I noticed my cab heater doesn't seem to blow warm air. I have messed with the blender control on the HVAC panel and that doesn't do anything and I do have the heater switch on and it is red. Does that switch control some sort of solenoid to open a coolant valve to feed the heater core?

I also must have some sort of short in my cab ceiling as my courtesy light and radio fuse blow as soon as I change it. That happened last year and didn't impact the heater's function.

Any suggestions what to check?

Thanks

Is it blowing any air?
cold not warm or just no air?
If blowing but no heat check the anti-freeze level in your radiator,
and feel if there is heat in the hoses heading to the cab.
Your cab air filters could restrict the air flow but I would expect some heated air.

Where do you store your tractor? I suspect rodents. They block ducts with their nests and like to chew wiring. Seen it before. Little bastards.....

Excluding electrical wiring problems, there may be a water shutoff valve somewhere as a backup to the manually operated heater controller to ensure that no hot water flows through the heater coil in the summer when using the AC. Mine is between the radiator and engine proper on the left side half way down...about a ¾" hose and ball valve.
