HEAVY DUTY Flail mower questions (Turner)

What kind of stuff can I cut this mower (thickness ?) ANy idea what these were used for - I was told roadside mowing.
I hooked it up to my 5100 today and it ran it without a hitch. I just ran it in light grass that was about 12" and over a few twigs at about 1/2 throttle without it slowing a bit. It does weight the rear end down bit however!!

Be sure to run the flailmower at the 540 R.P.M., engine speed setting when mowing as the flail hammer knives work best at that engine speed.

Have a bomford flail mower the locking nut on the drive shaft bearing case has spun any ideas were I can obtain one any advice please

Locking nuts come as a standard SAE size could you put up a picture for
us as it sounds like there is more hidden damage possibly.


Also check with an Alamo industrial regional representative for
parts for your mower.
