that limiter chain is a good idea, as long as you don't forget and actuate the 3pt lift. I bet you some tractors could bend the draw bar or atleast rip the hook off.

I have my chain set so the max lift is just starting to pull on the drawbar.

If you are going to use that for moving trailers around I'd recommend a safety chain so that the 3 point can't be pushed up higher then it should go.

You can see my limiting chain going down to a clevis in the drawbar to stop unintended over lifting.

I made one using my old 3PH drawbar. The hitch isn't rocket science, if the vendor product is cheaper/faster than you can make it then buy it.
