Hello all! I've been lurking for a while, and sucking up the great advice on this site. I just joined the tractor owning world this past weekend by purchasing a 2003 New Holland TC40D at an estate auction, and look forward to contributing more to the TBN community. That said you're in for a great experience with the 40D. They are a fine machine and there's lots of information here at the TBN site covering your particular model.

Thanks for the welcome folks. Pictures will be forthcoming, but I've been slam busy all day offing and processing some chickens. It was my first time, so it took a bit of time!

The tractor came with a 5' rotary brush cutter, and I purchased a 7' rear blade yesterday morning, and spend the afternoon grading the driveway. Simply amazing! It did such a great job, I was blown away! Tough work, to be sure, but seemed to go well.
