Don't know what the neighbor pricing is for the L series tractor and equipment, but there are several Kubotas listed on craigslist in our area that are pretty good bargains. There is a nice 2006 B7510HSD w/FEL for $10,400 and a 4ft rotary mower for $400 in Arlington. If I didn't already have one, I'd be all over it. I may still call about the rotary mower.

It took me over a year to buy, you will get your deal in time. I bet I've been to 40 auctions and you start to see the same guys over and over. The good tractors at the auctions I have been to almost always get bought by dealers or re-sellers. The rest of us suckers buy the stuff they avoid for reasons we only find out about later. I am sure there are deals, but buying from a person who actually owns the unit seems more reliable, particularly if it's somebody like your neighbor with the L2900.
