Welcome to TBN.

Pretty area you live in.

Look at barlows kubota in KY. They have great kubota prices and will deliver to you.

The kubota TLB’s are more construction geared, no removable loader, BH usually stays on but can get removed. Look at your long term needs before buying. Also check out EVerything Attachments that advertise on TBN., especially their grapples.

Thank you buckeyefarmer. I have a local Kubota dealer about 15 miles from my house, I'm one of those guys that does my best to curry relationships with local businesses... In other words they have my business until they lose it kind of thing so they'd be my first choice so long as they are close enough on the price. I'd hate to buy a rig from a neighboring state then ask the local shop to service it without giving them a chance to make the sale. Now if it's anything other than a new tractor, all bets are off as I think people understand buying second hand wherever they can find what they need.

Yeah I love the look and the beef of the TLB, but I think you guys are setting me straight on it. What my house sells for in CA next month will have some bearing on the choice as well. Things are still selling pretty well with the low interest rates and offers of 10K+ over asking are common so if it goes like that I may stretch the budget a bit.

The L47 is a heavy duty TLB - only a short step below a commercial type TLB but in a smaller more maneuverable package. TLBs are purpose-built, & basically stronger everywhere, more stable, and more expensive than a tractor with a loader and backhoe combination. I'd say it looks about right for the pictures you posted and the work you have planned.

And... well... it looks really cool! :D

One of the regulars on the good morning page just bought an M62. He has some very steep hillsides.
I don’t think the L47 is too big, but list your short and long term usages. Loader lift capacity is important. I have an L3940C with BH92 and 5 acres, I can’t unload a ton pallet. Don’t let 5 acres dictate the tractor size, but what you intend to do with it.
For clearing, strongly recommend the EA grapple. Buy front 3rd function now. Buy 1 or 2 back hydraulics with float.
