Hello everyone...

I agree with the general consensus of opinion. Get something a little bigger than a 4110. I own a 4300 and it would be ideal for the work you are looking at. Look at a 4310 and welcome to the TBN.

You can drag 'em with a chain and the draw bar, but the trees tend to dig in a bit. Using the loader works better for me.

I have one of those 3PH drawbars with a clevis on it. The 3PH does all of the lifting so the log is off the ground. Plus, you can drive forward. Just my $0.02. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have a 4115 set up the same way. I paid around 21K for it earlier this year. We currently are clearing land for a driveway and house in NY. I am very happy with the performance of this set up. I would guess the largest stumps we are pulling are 10" - 12". Sounds like you are dealing with larger size trees so that might be an issue. I know with my set up it is going to take longer to do what I want but I didn't feel like buying the bigger truck and trailer it would require to move up to a larger frame set up. Hell if money was no object I would have bought a 110! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
