Rigby338 - Fine lookin' tractor. Those are some impressive chains, too! Looks like you stole from a tree skidder....
Just sold my '94 JD 970. Great tractor. No complaints at all. One of the very first modifications I made to mine was to add halogen lights to the ROPS and a rear work light.
The very next change was to beef up the grill guard with some flat-stock (3/8) and some welded wire mesh to keep those stray sticks from sneaking in and punching a hole in my brand, new $174 grill.
Rigby338.... Hmm. would that be a necked down .416? I sure like my 'ol .338.

Thanks for the reply AKfish. That sure would be a necked down .416. Had Bullberry make me a 28" 1.5" diameter .338 Lapua TC Encore barrel. I took a factory plastic buttstock and filled it with lead shot and epoxy, whole rifle weighs just 27lbs, kicks like a 22 hornet. We like shooting rocks at the pit and she'll burst the biggest rock yet. Sorry to get off my own topic, Ha Ha.
Do love my JD. Put in a couple food plots last summer. Fixed up my dads driveway. Moved 6 wheeler loads of gravel to restore old farm roads on the property. Should have got some before pictures,DUH. Oh well now I know and have picked up a teeny pocket sized digicam for the upcoming tractor season.
