(My mum had a penfriend, Thelma, from Tas. They met on holiday in Fiji in the '50s. Wrote to each other regularly and we, as kids, would be as enthralled with her stories of life beyond Hobart as Mum was. They're both gone now but my brother & I still have the Koalas she sent over when we were born.)
