Hello from SW Michigan

Hi everyone!!!! New to tractorbynet.com and have learned a great deal about compact tractors. Currently own a 2355N 4WD diesel John Deere tractor with a Laurin Cab (@1375 Hrs). We used this tractor to farm concord grapes. Well, we have pulled the grapes out and have retired from farming for the most part, so the 2355N will be sold. Need a compact tractor/backhoe that will help us maintain and or improve our 75 acre homestead/farm and help us accomplish a major landscaping project over the next few years. Have been looking at a Kubota Grand 4240 TLB or L45TLB. Plan on using the tractor for many landscaping related chores, maintaining drainage tile in our fields, maintaining driveways, moving bulk materials, lifting objects, stacking snow (when the truck mounted V-plow cannot push it anymore), and using forks to load pallets onto pallet racks in our maintenance building. We will no doubt discover many additional tasks for this tractor. I am leaning towards a Kubota since they have a solid reputation and there are three dealers within 25 miles of my home. I know two of them personally and feel comfortable dealing with them.

We were just through there last weekend on our way home from the beach on the north side of the pier in St. Joe back to South Bend. We go up Redbud, across to Bridgeman, and up, but on the way back we always come straight down Cleveland to New Carlisle. I've always liked that area. Glad to have you on TBN!
