I am a newbie looking to buy my first, last and hopefully only tractor in the next while. I am looking at JD and Kubota as they are the two makes that have dealers close to me. I am in SWVA, as far north as you can get and still be in the SW. Looking at JD 2720 and 3720 and Kubota 3200. The 3720 just recently entered the running after some advice that I might need a bigger tractor for some uses that I am interested in. MMM, FEL, BH, Tiller, Box blade, PHD, and I'm sure I could use several more implements (couldn't we all?). Any advice that is given will be appreciated and listened too.

You are looking at two fine line of tractors.

Smaller is nice until you need one just a little heavier.

Not sure where exactly in SWVA you are, but there are plenty of other options available...there is ample dealer network for Bobcat, New Holland and Massey Ferguson as well...keep your options open and shop around...if I knew where you are located, I can direct you to more dealers that are near (at least within a couple of hours).

About 12 miles from KY or WVA in the notch between them, Buchanan Co. Closest dealers to me are in Tazewell, about 70 driving miles, JD, Kubota, 90 to 100 for NH, Mahindra, etc.
