I've been browsing this forum for a while now - since I helped by dad with his last purchase of a 63HP New Holland Boomer.
This time around it was my turn to buy a tractor - decided to go with a John Deere 2305. Our two local dealers are JD and New Holland - the local Massy dealer really only hands big - 100+ Hp - stuff.
I grew up on a 600 acre farm, JD 4440 a larger ford and another JD 2030? something like that, I was little! Since then scaled down after my grand father passed away and moved about 10 miles away. We farm about 120 acres - 85 owned, 35 leased. We now have a 2006 New Holland TN60A with a loader, and a 63HP New Holland boomer. Along with a lot of other equipment - JD 317 and JD240 skid loader, Cat 301.5 and JD ZTS50 excavator, JD310C backhoe, Cat 910 loader, International TD7 and T6 dozers, along with an old farmall super C.
With the purchase of a a house myself, I just decided on, thanks to the forum, a JD 2305 for everything around the house.
Thanks!
