Hello everyone.

I bought a 4.7 acre property in the country a few months ago. It is surrounded by so many trees you can't see the house from the road. It is very peaceful but unfortunately needs major clean up. There are piles of brush, limbs, and parts of trees down about everywhere you look. I've named the place "The Grove". I bought a New Holland TC30 tractor a few months ago, too, to help me with the clean up. I've named the tractor "Grover". A friend suggested that I get a grapple to make the clean up work we need to do more efficient. I was googling around for grapples earlier today and somehow stumbled upon this forum and was pleased to find a community of devoted to tractor people. I will probably need some help narrowing down my grapple purchase but will find the appropriate thread to post for that. In the meantime I just wanted to introduce myself.

I am looking for a root grapple bucket for my 2005 New Holland tractor. The local John Deere dealer quoted me a price of over $4,000 to order the one I wanted from a manufacturer they use. I went online and found several places that sale similar types of grapples for a considerably lower price. Bradco was one of the top sellers at recommended places like everythingattachments.com and therakeshop.com. I was going to go with one from the everythingattachments website but from sunday to monday the price of the bucket went up from about $1,700 to 2,200! I idid more searching and found another one similar for sale by Prowler Manufacturing for just under $1,400. The problem I'm running into now is that the seller needs to make sure I have the right "adapter" or adapter plate" for the grapple to fit onto my loader. I've learned many of the grapple buckets for sale are designed for skid steer tractors that are too heavy for a small tractor but even many of the lighter ones designed for small tractors use a skid steer hook up which requires the adapter be installed on the tractor. I prefer the bucket grapple to use independently from the bucket loader to the add-a-grapple styles even though this requires that I interchange between the two as needed.
So, I have a couple of questions. . .Does anyone know anything about the Prowler company and their grapples? (I found them on ebay and they are rated as a top-rated seller). Also, does anyone know anything more about the adapter?
