Hello everyone, I'm new to TBN I found this forum via google. I'm born and raised in the Midwest, northern Illinois, but have been living in Missouri the last 25+ years. My job is in the city of St Louis but I've recently purchased a piece of property in rural Missouri near Marthasville, great farming community. My new place needs lots work, 100 year old house, uncultivated land since the 1950's so I'm told. But it has lots of promise, I want to expand a small orchard and terrace some of the land for a huge productive vegetable garden. I'm looking forward at being part of this forum.

No new construction, just really small 100+ year old farm house that needs a lot of work. I'm looking to retire early, about 5 more years, and want to get out of the city for the weekends for now then make a permanent move. Thats my goal anyway. The land is open pasture edged with woods and a small creek, cattle and goats on one side the other is all pasture.
