IVe grown up in the dirt business and burning brush is an art with my old man. He watches the wind, bufferzones and such. When we are clearing we check to see the main wind directions. We then pile our brush long ways in that direction with the dryeast stuff first. Then put some green on it and go from there. The sap burns better 7 days after its been cut. We light a little pile with diesel soaked shavings and if then Ill take the fuel nozzle on the trucks service tank. I put my thumb over the nozzle and can get some good distance on it. It will mist and make the fire huge and when the wind catche it it will burn to the last root.
I have used my old straw blower to aerate fires to.
