Help a fella pick out a tractor please (L3301 or L3901)

I've never owned a Kubota but have been looking at the L3301 and the L3901 lately. This won't be my main tractor but it will be used for some loader work and odd jobs around the farm, some work in the woods, etc. 30ish hp would fit the bill perfectly for the tasks I have planned for it and I've looked at them up close to make sure it was the size I wanted and it is. What I haven't decided yet is which one I want (price difference will probably be the deciding factor) and if I want DT or HST. I know I want R4's on it, loader with skid steer attach, maybe a set of forks. I'm also having trouble determining what is a fair price. I say that because the local Kubota dealers around here love doing "package deals" and I'm not interested in that, just want the tractor, loader, DT or HST and a set of forks. Idon't need any attachments but if they are willing to throw in a box blade or the forks for a big discount then cool. I'm also liking the 0% for 60 that's going on right now. I won't be paying tax since it's for ag use but how much is the Kubota insurance? I know that's added to the final price but didn't know how much it was. Has anyone been approved online through Kubota or do you just wait and do it at the dealership? I know I'll be approved just didn't know which way was easier.

Does t he L3301 and L3901 have the same motor, just fueled different?

I wonder how difficult they made it to adjust fuel on Teir 4 motors?

The L3200 & L3800 were a hair different. The L3200 had .1 GPM more hydro flow & a couple RPM more than the L3800. Im a bit fuzzy, but the gearing might have been a hair different as well. That made me think it was more than just fuel.

RPM EFFECTS PUMP CAPACITY i.e. direct ratio

When I was looking at tractors last year and considering a new Kubota, I was given a cash price that was about $2k less for a new L3901. It may be dealer dependent though, especially since you're talking about package prices.

The programs do change. Right now, there is no extra discount for cash. It varies, you gotta call and check.

Ended up getting an L3301 hst with cruise, R4 tires (rears loaded), SSQA, and a couple work lights. Wanted to jump on the 0 for 60 same as cash while it was going on. Dealer acted like he wanted to move some tractors before January too so that helped. I'll take some pics when I get it, should be in a week or two. Thanks for all the help!

Congrats!!! :cool2:I suspect you'll be very happy with your new machine. Guess you'll have to adjust your signature "Great grandpa drove blue, grandpa drove green, dad drove red and I drive blue and green"
Looking forward to seeing the pics.

Thanks! Yeah this will be my very first orange machine of any kind. I was very impressed when I kept looking at them in person and the little things added up. The more I looked at the 3E the less I liked it. I even got the Kubota for about $1500 cheaper than what my Deere dealer quoted a 3032e and plus I got cruise control, three bucket hooks and some work lights thrown into the deal. I even got some discounts from Kubota WITH the 0% and with Deere it was either or. I had long considered getting the extra hp of the 3901 but when it came down to it and what I'll be using the tractor for I didn't see me needing the extra power. I'm sure I'll have many questions in the future so I'll be visiting the Kubota section quite a bit on here.

Btw if anyone is considering doing the online application for Kubota financing, it's the easiest thing I've ever done. I've never been approved so quick in my life! I literally submitted the application and within 2 mins they sent me an email saying I was accepted. It really was 2 mins.
