Help a Newbie out on JD 770

So you think the above prescribed plan would work, then? I hate to try it and blow a line or the pump.
Looking to just get a 2 spool valve to have the flexibility of running whatever, and mounting it to the fender.

Thanks for your help. The JD auxiliary kit is now obsolete, but my dealer did find one at another dealer. It was really $$$$. I think I can get this done for <$200.

I think it will work fine. By studying JDparts you can see where the lines attach. But, you will not get it done for $200. A decent valve will alone cost close to that. After you get all the hoses and fittings plus the valve, figure a budget of at least $500. There is nothing about hydraulics that cheap except O-rings and our advice here.

After I decide for sure if I want to do it, I will post my progress. I am extremely frugal (not cheap, however), and keep in mind that I live in the middle of Iowa, which is tractor parts heaven. I have many outlets for quality used equipment and parts, not to mention both my father and father-in-law are large scale farmers with lots of extra parts laying around, and good friends that will make the fittings for me. So, it is a goal to get it done for cheap.
I REALLY appreciate the advice. Oh, I got that from a posting on here from way back in 2001, I think it was in relation to a 790, but the principal was there and my JD mechanics advice was solid as well!
