My b3200 won't start this afternoon. worked it yesterday no problems. today wont do anything. has 12.7 volts and will crank long time jumping the starter solenoid but the fuel must be cut off from one of the safety switches along with the starter relay. I have checked the rear and mid PTO switches and bypassed both, played with seat, clutch, speed (forward- reverse), 2-4 wheel drive, 3 pt hitch lever, and brakes. I am at a loss. what do you think next? If i can jump the solenoid on the injection pump with 12 volt it should let the engine to continue to run after jumping the starter. then i can load on trailer to take to dealer. Anyone know which wire on pump you jump and which to ground to make run? I am at a loss. The Solenoid wires on the harness has a smaller wire and larger wire. plug on injector solenoid has one prong above the other. i have oem loader and box blade on.

thanks in advance. please excuse the typing and punctation as i had a stroke 7 months ago but an getting around best as possible.

You must have a bad switch or connection on one of the saftey switches. But you can hotwire the solenoid and get it running. Make sure all levers peddles etc. are in neutral before you do that.

Some solenoidd have a thermistor in line to avoid burning them out.

thanks for the replays. still sitting, does anyone have or know of a wire diagram that shows or do they know how to wire the injector solenoid. there is now 12 volt to both sides of the wire harness plug. still wondering which side of the plug on injector energizes it to make it work so that i can move it and take it to dealer. that possibly is a question for an electrical engineer.

Have you turned the switch on and rocked the hydro pedal back and forth till you hear the fuel solenoid activate. And check the big fuse or breaker on the starter for energy. And you ma have to disconnect the fuel solenoid and either pull the pin back or push it in .

You do have fuel in the tank right? If its cranking, it is NOT a safety switch. Those prevent cranking, not just fuel delivery.
Could be a plugged fuel line, bad pre-pump, clogged filter or a bad shutoff solenoid.

If I read his first post correctly it only cranks if he jumps the starter.

Ah, I see that now. I found the following which may be of help:

Jim, your right, one lead is ground and on my BX23 it is the black lead. The other connects to the timer relay and it's the white lead on my BX23.
The timer relay applies 12vdc for approx 10 - 20 sec's then removes it. During the time the timer is applying the 12v to the stop solenoid it cuts off the fuel flow in the injector pump.
After the 12v is removed from the stop solenoid it returns to it's normal unenergized position which then allows fuel to flow within the injector pump.
So to summerize, the stop solenoid is only energized to shut the engine down and has no power to it when the engine is off and/or when it is running.

You don't have to wire it up for your engine to run. The injector
pump should also have a manual shutdown lever on it thats beside the throttle lever. You can hook up a pull to kill cable, like a choke cable to shut the engine down.

Kubota usually uses a 3 wire stop solenoid when it needs to have the solenoid energized inorder for the engine to run and it uses the timer relay to apply 12v to the other lead to help pull the solenoid closed to kill the engine.

The 2 wire solenoids, from my experience, operate like how I described above. Course Kubota can change it's specs any way they seem fit so I could be wrong.
Good luck and let me know if I can help.

This sounds like what I had with my B3200.
Turned out to be the voltage regulator. It is checked by the system before cranking is allowed.
Strange but true.

thanks guys. i finally had to have someone hook up to it and pull out of the way. there are only 2 wires that go to the solenoid on the injection pump. both seem to be white wires with tiny (indescribable) markings 0n them. one larger gauge than the other. how can i get the injector pump to work so it will move on its own power? any help wouidd be appreciated.
