i fixed it, thanks.

20 inches

the wench is needed because it can eat a tree in 1 gulp.

I've known a few wenches like that....:)

Sorry, just couldn't resist...

Well, I think the search is over. Made a deposit on a "lightly" used Wallenstein BX62R. Still has paint on the blades and hydraulic feed. Maybe a handful of hours on it. Sat outside, so it does need a little cleanup, but should fit the bill nicely.

That should work. The BX62 chipper is sturdy and built dead simple. I have to watch the two bolts that hold the twig breaker on the hinge side of the chute. They tend to work loose and I think there is a good bit of shock transmitted to them too since I had one break.

Some people bolt skids under the chipper skids to get the pto shaft running at less of an angle.

I think you mean winch. A wench is something different.

Looks GREAT!

Now get a wench or two to haul branches, serve coffee etc.

Well, I may just need a wench to help feed it... I haven't mentioned this little addition to my wife yet... She's still pretty mad about the gift I got her for our 10 year wedding anniversary... A 10 tonne National Boom truck. Put a nice bow on it and everything! Did not go over well, haha. Maybe it was the tractor "she" got for Christmas the year before, I don't know. All I know if women are a hard beast to figure out.

I bet you had the wrong color bow! That's the problem!

That's a nice chipper, I'm sure you'll be happy with it. I was dead set on getting a BX62R when I was looking. I ended up finding a used chipper before biting the bullet on a new one, so I didn't get the Wally, but I did a LOT of research and settled on that one.

Congrats!

We bought a WoodMAXX a couple years ago, the 8 inch hydraulic feed. Well it worked ok for the small hardwood, wet White Cedar just made a goofy clogged mess of it. Spent more time taking it apart to clean it out, than I did ever chipping wood. Sold it to my farm neighbour, they use it for small pines etc, seems to work for them. Looking forward to picking this up, have lots of cleanup to do at the farm, as well as a couple sites that need cleaned up.

Picked up used Wally BX62R yesterday, spent all day today cutting down random trees and running thru the chipper. It wasn't the machine I was originally looking at, my local dealer called and just had this one come in. Paid little under $2500, I think I got a great deal when compared to the prices I have seen around here. Makes nice big chips! Even handles wet cedar with n problems! Serviced and greased yesterday, cleaned, and installed. t had really low hours, the original blades had never even been flipped, so flipped them this morning, sharpened the other side well I had them off, reset the anvil clearance, and spent 5 hours making chip piles all over the farm.

Sorry for the crappy cell pic, didn't think to take a camera with me today. The Mahindra 6010 spins it quite nicely, never really seems to bog down, and was good on fuel, burned about 1/3 of a tank over the course of 6 hours running at 540 pto speed.

Chippers are fun!!
I bought the ProMark pictured about a year ago and had to rehab things but now it works great!!

I looked at a Vermeer 6" today that is for sale locally but it is in poor condition and needs a LOT of work.
