I forgot to mention... why don't you just go ahead and ask the mods / admins if you want to... You'll either get a yes/no/maybee...

;)

I have to disagree with you on that. I have done just that in the past and received nothing in return, and that was from the big man himself.:(

I had thought about contacting an administrator and volunteering to do a hose and fitting identification thread and make it a sticky in the hydraulics forum. But, I think that would be counter productive. Nobody knows everything, the secret is in finding the answers you need. I believe anyone with a tractor should own a hose and fitting catalog from their local hose shop. They could ID any hose and fitting possible, and would therefore, become very knowledgable with hoses and fittings. If you keep giving the answers, people become dependent on you rather than learning form themselves.
As far as "advice" goes, that is about as loaded for bear as you can get. The advice you get here varies, some is great, some is garbage. Who determines which is which? I don't know. Just look at my signature and you see my feelings on advice.

I have to disagree with you on your signature Andy. Anybody with half a brain would be foolish to disregard any of your advice that you may offer as far as hydraulics are concerned. When your a laymen, it's tough to beat the advice from a guy that makes a living from it.

Just my opinion, and sometimes it is worth more than others.;)

Brian, thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, I have gotten into heated discussions with some members here about certain hydraulic subjects. I am not going to sit here and tell anyone that I am always correct or know it all. However, some of those that choose to "pick a fight" come to the table unarmed. I can see why some of the more experienced have left the board. You hit a dog too many times, one day, it doesn't come back.

So true, so true.
