I did the same thing last December after my neighbor showed me around their place in their Mule diesel. I went with a Linhai Bighorn 28 LX which is not as nice as the Mule nor as expensive. But mine runs really nice and the 4wd is handy after it rains. The Mule had power steering and was a larger vehicle but the power steering is what I really think set it apart when backing up and or manuvering in a tight parking situation. Once you're moving it doesn't matter.
