HELP!!!!!!! how to remove an injector pump on a KE75 engine

   / HELP!!!!!!! how to remove an injector pump on a KE75 engine #11
Good news its out.
The control rack was is frozen and worked out it was only a few ml off where it needed to be so thanks to all your guys info that nothing else was connected, So a pry bar on either side and one eye closed for luck and it was like pulling a tooth it pop right out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yay
But it is seized one of the plungers is stuck up in compression and I have managed to get the control rack to move stiffly back and forwards but I,m guessing the pump is stuffed and not rebuild able .
So now I will pull the head of to see if there is any future there I only need it to go to drive a mulcher for home use but I'm still considering in the back of my mind another used motor could be cheaper and better outcome.
Thanks for all your help

Good news and not so good news I guess!

Apart from the pump, what's the rest of the engine like? Shame you are at the other end of the world, I have a complete KE70 here that I'm breaking for parts due to it having worn bores.

Aren't these engines quite common in NZ? Sometimes a new engine is the best option due to the cost of individual parts.

Hi
I pulled the injector pump to bits ad freed it up seem to look ok now the important parts looked perfect so you never know.
Took head off and bores look ok but inlet valves are corroded needs a valve grind as abit of moisture got in there while sitting about for years outside.
I will pull injector pump down again and clean it then see if it will pump diesel when installed if so will do valve grind on head and new head gasket and see if Im in luck.
It only needs to run a mulcher so can run abit ruff as long as it runs ay

Well if anybody is interested . I cleaned and freed up the injector pump , took head off and lapped valves in , dropped pistons to bottom of stroke and gave bores a light hone to clean up , shellacked old head gasket torqued it down set tappets and bleed air out of injector that seemed to take ages and used a torch in inlet and would you believe it chuff chuff it is a runner what a wonder I thought it was going to be a sea anchor and the head gasket seems to be holding up too that was a tip for an 82 yr old old mechanic ( neighbor) if your stuck with a blown head gasket and have a bottle of shellac in you tool box well I can say it did work for how long I am not sure but radiator has no bubbles and oil is black .
and spins .:laughing::laughing::thumbsup:
