I gpt a 420 loader first, I swapped for the 430. I detached the loader and trailered it back to the dealer, where they swapped it with a brand new 430. They installed the hoses, I kept my original bucket, and mouning frame...

When I put it on operation was slow, and stopped raising at hood height, unless I barely opened the valves. Low HyGard. So I put in nearly two gallons, half sight glass.

At first it was the same. I cycled it several times, but it still isnt right. Dumping especially requires that I barely open the valve, and fast dump is actully a fast roll back.

Do I just need to cycle it more. Also I was at about 1000 rpm (12o'clock on the tach) Do I need to run at 2600 rpm to really get the oil flowing?

I will also check with the dealer in AM

Certainly sounds like there is a problem. Curious, but you say "fast dump is actually fast roll-back", this sounds as though you have a hose on the wrong connector. Also checking fluid levels according to the manual you should wait at least 1 hour after adding fluid to let it settle and verify level. I can cycle my 430 loader at idle with no problems, granted it doesn't go as fast when running at higher RPMs but you shouldn't have any problems at low RPMs. I would check and verify all connections and lines on the loader frame are going to the appropriate connector, if so contact your dealer and let him know there is a problem.

Thanks Brad,

The troubleshooting section recommended higher rpms for jerky operation. I suspected the swapped lines, as well. This morning, I tried both, and after a little while, it did a lot better. The lines weren't swapped, but swapping them wrong and then right seemed to actually help. I suspect that when the manual states to cycle loader (during checkout) they really meant CYCLE loader. It seems use is fixing the problem
At first, to raise the boom I was actually pulling the stick partially left (rollback and raise) it wouldn't raise alone. Now it is already working better. I also couldn't roll the bucket with the boom raised, now it will. The only function I haven't got, yet is fast dump, it still is fast rollback...

I assume I am getting the air out. Is there somewhere for it to escape, or should I be venting it out (like with the fill cap)?
