Hi All,

I've got a gear pump that I am stuck trying to get replacement seals for. The nameplate is missing and there are only a few casing markings. I'm really hoping someone here will know what brand it is atleast.

This is for a wood splitter project.

Its an SAE C mount with 1 1/8" keyed shaft. I have no idea what equipment it came of before it came to my possession.

Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Chris

I'm curious as to what seals it has/what you are chasing for it, I expect the shaft seal would be off the shelf, does it have a large oring seal, may need cut/splice correct oring material to suit?

It has the B shaped seals that seal the pressure side from the suction size. They are on the plates which sit up against the gears.
Yeah casing oring & shaft seal are easy to sort out.

Prob not worth the effort to repair. Unknown gpm, condition and its not 2 stage. What HP engine are you useing?

Dukey,
In the US I would suspect a Webster or Commercial Shearing since the pump is cast iron. Not sure what was used in down under. Both of these companies have been purchased by other companies. Commercial Shearing is now a division of Parker Hannifin not sure who purchased Webster.

The counter man at my local bearing house usually takes a caliper or micrometer to that kind of thing or reads the number on the seal and orders me one to fit.

You’re right about commercial, but that doesn’t look like a Commercial pump

Webster was bought by Danfoss Fluid Power (now Danfoss Power Solutions) but they discontinued most of the line in the early 2000’s and it’s now a company in the Chicago area called QCC

But it doesn’t look like a Webster either

I’m curious WHY this pump was selected and what kind of output is expected from it.
