Frank

They're drafting tools. The instruments with the nibs are ink pens. The gap is adjusted to the width you want and a drop of ink is inserted into the nibs.

Frank a very good way to find out the value of any item is to list it at eBay for a starting bid of a buck. The general public will determine the true value very quickly from there.

If you don't want to sell it, just find out what they would sell for, try a reserve auction with a high reserve amount.

Just my two cents worth.

Haven't seen those since high school.... I have seen them at flea markets in the past and they are not high dollar items unless they are extremely old. The set pictured looks like it is from the 1950's/1960's from the look of the box.

Got a set of the same type around somewhere. Don't think they are all that valuable at this time.

Had a little practice using the blinked blank things before the refillable pens came out.
