I've taken lots of pictures to help in identifying what this is. Lots of numbers on the individual parts but couldn't find a name anywhere. sorry for the sideways pics. Thanks for your help!

To TBN MCastle. There is a lot of knowledge here so maybe someone will know.

Posting where you are located might help someone to be able to figure it out easier.

It was found in Florence, MT, near Missoula. Here are a couple more pics of it.

Pics at a little more distance would help. Hard to tell how it was pulled? Whether there is part of the machine missing? Etc. Pics of the entire unit so the viewer knows there's nothing beyond the limit of the pic.

Very possible. That's why I asked for more distant pics. Maybe we can then determine what all is missing??

Grain binder drive wheel?

The type of wheel and sheet metal with the chain to drive the batter board of a 4 horse drawn grain binder. Used to run a similar type as a kid. the grain shocks then had to be hand stacked to continue to dry until the thrashing machine arrived.
Every thing was labor intensive and horse drawn. kids to tired at night to get into trouble.

Reapers and binders are two of the machines my grandfather used to tell me about. They were long gone by the time I arrived. If not for the internet, I might never have seen one in action.
