HELP?? is folding ROPS available for JD790??

Does anyone happen to know if a folding ROPS set-up is available for the JD 790?? I would need such a feature to get one into my garage.

No...a folding ROPS is not available.

I had to adjust my garage door to get the tractor inside. I added at least 4" of travel by adjusting the travel as well as the bracket the cables ride into.

There is quite a bit of adjustment in those doors. How much more clearance do you need? If you decide to tackle this job, read as much as you can about garage doors. There are torsion bars under tension that can give you a nasty crack if you make a mistake.

Sorry Fred, you're out of luck. No folding ROPS for the 790. Worse yet, I see you are interested in a backhoe. If you want to avoid painful head injuries, you'll want the ROPS extensions. They add about 10 inches which doesn't help your garage problem but will take care of those head knockers /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I had the same problem with my 990. It was 1" too tall to go in my barn. I looked at as a good excuse to put up a new pole barn.

My garage door is 1.5" taller than my rollbar (whew)!!!!!!!

I know a ROPS is necessary, but it is a major pain for me. I have ROPS paint on about 10 trees and every wall in my quanset hut. Mine fits in my hut fine but clears my barn loft by about 1/8". If I run over a pebble it hits /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
