Help, Jd 410 backhoe won't move fast

Cpjlube Yes I found that out the hard way. I tried to remove the reverser without the back plate but it was stuck and 2 of the tubes fell out. Also when I put the air to the oil line to the forward and reverse I did hear a "thud" but I also hear air that sounds like it's coming out from the o rings where the tubes go in. I say that because I was getting a fine mist of oil back at me. I'm heading to JD now and Amy going to try and replace all the o rings in the tubes and rebuild reverser. I'm praying I can write back saying "IT WORKED"!
Sorry. I need to fix my notifications. Didn't see you replied. So you have split the back hoe and have the reverser on the bench? Just so you know, the reverser is the large cast iron housing bolted to the engine. It's a 400lb behemoth that requires hours to pull. If you do, there is a lot you should replace while your in there. Only do this once! Trust me. image-3645168298.jpg Feel free to PM me on this. I had mine split recently. Did it twice. Chuck

I took the reverser off found 2 stuck valves. Completely rebuilt reverser 100%. Then I fought with getting the pipes back in the steel plate. Thought I got them in far enough put it back together with no pressure at the reverser and no fluid. Pull reverser back off found a line not connected (not sure if it came off when removed reverser again or if it was like that). Fought this thing all day (6 hrs) finally got the lines all the way through the steel plat this time just to put it back together to have no pressure. I took pressure relief valve out and I am getting fluid to reverser but why don't I have pressure at the bottom tap? Talk about getting freaking ticked off!!! How can I go from 162# and 2 valves stuck to no pressure at all?

Who wants to come to Carolina to help me fix this stupid thing?

Ok guys at this point I'm ready to give up. Broke tractor in half again. Found out my original issue was a stuck clutch bypass valve and my dry clutch was slipping. Ended up rebuilding the entire reverse control housing All o rings forward and reverse clutch packs the whole 9 yards. Put it back together and I still do not have pressure to reverse clutch control. I getting fluid out of pressure port (top bolt) on front pump which means I am getting pressure from trans pump and back to reverser clutch control.

This has to be something dumb but I caint figure it out. Anyone please help. I even put all the old parts back in reverse clutch control because I did have pressure before I rebuilt but it did not help.

Finally got her fixed!!!!!!!! I replaced the back cover on the reverser control valve with a new one from JD. The new part is off about a 1/8 of an inch and would not let the control valve in the reverser slide back into the rear cover which was letting the fluid bypass. Put the old cover on after I re tapped the oil pressure bolt hole and she works like a champ.

Thank you CPJLUBE for all your help. You are the Man!!
