I didn't know that Kubota HST's had cruise control as an option: both of ours just had it from the factory. Not much to it, I think, but some of the newer models may have auto throttle as part of the arrangement, which could complicate matters.

The best use I found for cruise control was moving the tractor forward while I was sitting on the backhoe.

I've seen that done with the bigger tractors, but until now didn't realize how it was done. I've been trying without success to remember the term which the salesman had for guys like me who don't like hydros... it wasn't "Luddite", but the meaning was very similar. :laughing:

I ended up going with the Kubota 2501 mainly because of the emissions on the larger tractors. I'm the engineer with Anbo mfg and I do so much prototyping with this tractor and love my decision
