This blade is for sale about a 90 minute drive from me, I'd like to see more of it before driving all that way, and since it just dumped a bunch of snow here, I doubt I'll get better pics from the seller any time soon. Wondering if anyone recognizes the make of this, it looks older, and more sturdy than the "typical" Tractor Supply type you see a lot these days.

I'd like to find an older unit with a well-built blade with more actual metal in it than the affordable new ones (which this seems to have, but I can't see how the mechanism functions from the pic.)

Thanks!

Well, this looks like maybe the same model, gives me an idea what I'd be looking at. The one for sale appears to have some welding on the frame sides, though.

Some of the older fords were built like that one! You have tilt with the vertical part and you have to loosen some bolts for the offset if you need it.

I just saw one that looks just like your pic on our craigslist, it's a massey-ferguson

If you buy a new King Kutter blade I think you will find that it is quite heavily built, and a very good value.
If you can afford it, buy a 7' blade with offset capability.
You will likely keep a blade forever.
Buy the one that will give you the most versatility for many years to come, rather than wishing you had done so.
I have a 7' King Kutter blade (with offset) for my 32HP Ford 1920. The 7' width (+offset) allows me to reach out way beyond my wheel width, at an angle that will bring the gravel back in from the outer edges of my driveway.
In my opinion, the King Kutter blade is better built than the Tarter Gate (or Behlen?) built blade that is sold by TSC.
Rural King, Blaine's Farm & Fleet, and Northern Tool are some KK sources. Both RK & Blaine's often have sales, and sometimes also have very reasonable shipping rates.
I just quickly checked the KK product listing, and cannot find their offset back blades listed.
Perhaps KK has quit making them, but other manufacturers do.
