Hey guys, i'm from Long Island,NY and have been on a tractor hunt for the past few weeks.
My research has lead me to the Kubota brand.
Recently went to a local dealer and looked at the new shiny machines and tested one out a little.
I've got a 400x20 driveway and 1 acre, i want it to move snow in the winter & do some general landscaping , limited 'farming'.

My search is spanning several states in hopes of finding that perfect tractor deal.

I'm looking for some help on 'finding a good deal' , Since kubota has to change their model numbers every few years it makes it a little harder to decipher the differences in functionality and value.

At the moment here is some im considering
01 B2710hst WITH LA402 w/645 hours for $9,000
08 B7510hst LA-302 loader w 280 hours for $10,500
01 B2410 HST la-352 loader, 60"MMM,basic scraper blade, 420 hours for 10,000

What do you think of these numbers? what would you lean toward and why?

Edit: Quick update on the B2410, 2nd owner said he bought with 300hrs for 13,500 2 years ago.
Does it seem like he over paid? I'm hoping he would take 9.
Also what kind of value does the 60" MMM have if i were to try and sell it once i buy the whole machine?
(i need something to tell my wife to make it seem like im not really about to spend 9 grand, lol)

If it helps i can check the color of the zip ties while paying close attention to proper trim length. :)

Don't bother with the quick ties. I don't care how there trimmed.:laughing: I always lean towards the higher hp in a particular size. Depends alot on condition. If you are not going into tight spaces then get the one which is in the best condition.

I like those prices, it makes my B7610 look good and my M4700 great.
In early '09 I bought my (all '07) B7610 w/240 hrs, FEL, Woods boxblade, AND a Hudson trailer in great shape for $11.5K. At the time I figured that put the tractor at about $7.5K. And it had JUST gotten it's 250 hr checkup (that's about a $500 dealer charge).

Jan 2013 I bought my '95 M4700 w/1400 hrs, FEL, canopy & 2 RR for $11.5K.

And I live 11 miles from the Whitehouse, not exactly a hotbed of used tractors.
If SWMBO is fixated on $9K and you don't plan on using the mower I'd say go for the B2710 if you need to buy now. I've seen used mowers go for $500 to $1200.

If you can wait a while it seems more bargains in that size class pop up after mowing season.

I wasted a lot of time to find good used Kubota on the cheap, and finally bought a new one for $2K more than what a 5 year old similar unit costs.
With the 0% financing, its really a no-brainer.

Depends on the area you live in, i'm guessing my local dealer would bill me out at 16,000 for a 2320 w/ fel ( they haven't given me a quote like they said they would after 2 attempts so im not 100% sure, ill call again tomorrow)
Thats 6 grand more, financing doesn't do any thing for me. It's not about having the money its wanting to spend it.

I don't really want to haul a trailer much more than 2 hours in one direction, and the b2410 is in that range too.

Wow! That dealer price is way out of line. Check others. I know you are looking to stay at a minimum price and hope to find a used in great condition but do look at the 0 down 0% financing new. You might be surprised that they are not much more than a well maintained low hour machine. I think you are on the right track though.

Most dealers will deliver. Start calling all Kubota dealers within 150 miles.
It late 2011 (almost exactly 2 years ago), I bought a brand new L3700SU with SSQA loader for $16,800.

New B2320 should be about $13K with a loader.

Also check L and BX60 series as currently the L has $1,000 instant rebate for cash buyers and BX60 has $1,500!

I have a B7500, and while it is a good tractor, if it was my only tractor, it would be too small. If it were me, and the tractor was in good shape, I would go with the B2710. You will never regret having more HP. But don't rush into it unless you have to have it now. By waiting a couple of years, I stumbled into a deal of a lifetime. My B7500 with 102 hrs came with bush hog, box blade, tiller, middle buster, cultivator, lift boom and a trailer to haul it all in for $7.5K. I know I will never find a deal like that again, but I'm looking for a bigger tractor now. If it takes me a couple more years to find a deal, so be it.
