I have been looking into PTO generators. That's one of the reasons I talked the wife into the second tractor. Been looking at the ones at Northern Tools. The smallest one they have requires a 24 hp PTO. I told her that's why I need the YM 2000. I know it's a little short of 24hp, but it's better than the YM 1700 I already have.

Actually, the number of names storms is about normal -- what is not normal is the amount of them that are hitting the US.

Hello tractor friends,
I live in Covington Louisiana, just north of New Orleans.
Looks like this won't be much of anything. Winds up to 50 mph. Just want to say sorry to all you fine folks around Mobile, AL. Have to admit we prayed for it not to hit here.

Slidell (about 30 miles East of Covington) is going to be fine. A little rain, a little wind. Bet we don't lose power (lines are underground). Trimmed the trees early today, house is boarded. Ready to leave, but its not coming here. Nothing outside. We have lots of water, soft drinks, etc. Canned goods and a manual can opener. Clorox can at 8 drops/ gallon be a good substitute for boiling (not quite as good). Anyway, we keep going outside to see the storm and all the neighbors are outside watching too. I think New Orleans is empty, everybody left yesterday. God save Mobile, Gulf shores, etc.
