I mentioned MF. It's a good brand.

( I will put it up against any other brand when it comes to power and durability. )

I always consider MF as one of the "Big 3", ( JD, NH, KUB & MF ).

Yep.. less bells and whistles.. but that proven design and technology equates into more HP per dollar than some brands.

Sorry sound guy I was replying to the thread starter just happened to click reply on your thread. I am guilty of not reading your thread completly. I have to admit that you are one of the most unbiased people on here, so I apologize if it looked like I was bashing you.
Keep up the good work.

This is a thought, but if you are just into flowery weeds and not trees/ saplings, how about a 6 foot side mower? You can go a whole lot faster than you can with a brushhog with a lot less hp. That is what I have used when cutting weeds in a pasture.

If you want to do it with a hog, and can do it with a 8N then a 25-30 hp cut with a 5 foot hog will do it for you.

Are you talking about a sickle mower or as we say around here a mowing machine.

Not needed.. I didn't take it as a bash. I figured you just did honestly miss the MF reference.

Too much about all tractors not to like a specific brand.. every one has an advantage here or there.. even if it is only something like price.. etc..

Squiggy would you happen to be in southwest missouri, anywhere close to Springfield/Joplin? There is a used AC D17 for sale in Stockton with bushog, sickle mower, blade and says other accessories. Now I don't know anything about this particular tractor but it's priced at $4800 so might be worth a look. D17 like all have their faults but are hard working tractors.
