Some progress, and another delay:
I found a large (around 1 inch) drain plug and drained about 7 gallons (I am dumping it into 5 gallon oil buckets) total with zero remaining drips from that location. I found a 10mm recessed hex located center amidship; removed that and the plug was wet with hydro but zero flow.
Removed the HST filter (with a 2 foot cheater bar) and replaced with new HST Filter...maybe 1/2 cup of fluid from there.
Removed Hydro oil filter with a strap wrench...maybe 1/4 cup of oil. Cleaned the magnet and then went to insert it into the Filter 1 Wix Hydraulic Filter (Part Number:57098
UPC Number:765809570986) . NO GO.
The Wix filter has a raised inner lip that prevents seating of the magnet and consequent sealing of the filter. They have always been good parts matches in the past at Filter 1
I am in the process of contacting Filter 1.
I still have not located the other drains, and by my measurements, there should still be about 4 gallons left in the system. Any suggestions?
