I've also noticed that every day I have air in my line. Just shortly after I turn a faucet on, I notice air in the line but not much. I've always heard a water leak can cause air (no clue how that works):confused3::confused:.

And one more thing about my well, there is another well about 150' away that is covered with small building, pump, tank, etc. That was the original well but it would run dry at times so my current well was dug which has never run dry. The pump and all still remain in the building over the old well with a 2" suction line running to the current well. I could see air getting in on a suction line, but wouldn't the pump lose it's prime?

Thanks again!

Looking at the tub of rusty water it would plug up filters quickly. A TDS test would give an idea of filter type and system that could be used.

The long term solution may be a deep drilled well. Costly but will beat mucking around with the surface water system you have.
