Seems rubber is good, if low hours and everything works, since I see it's 4wd and the tin showing is clean, you might start at $15k and test the water. Surely would at least bring $12k.

Hey rScotty: thanks! I'm new and didn't know about the marketplace. Yes, the tractor runs really well. I'm a little conflicted about selling it. I'm upgrading to a new compact John Deer which will be easier for my wife to operate.

Keep the Ford and buy her a tractor....check out the LS MT225s at $15,500 hydrostat, FEL, Tilt wheel,, deluxe seat, no emission stuff.....just bought one...accidentally, and love it. You sell the Ford and you will have a hard time shaving in the morning...looking at yourself in the mirror.......grin!

I say accidentally as I was shopping another brand and wanted to trade in my current, nearly new of the same brand, same HP, manual tranny for a hydrostat. Dealer didn't take trades but gave me the name of a guy who does. I called him and he was interested. I had a second tractor I was wanting to trade and he said he would buy both. In talking to him I found out he was an LS dealer...I never had any thoughts about buying that brand. Well guess what. The above tells the story. His same HP tractor had the things that I wanted and was missing with the current tractor and I didn't have to go to a larger frame to get them as I would have had to do if remaining with the same brand.

Plus, the dealer delivered the tractor, driving some 200 miles and picked up my trade ins.....no charge. He was happy with the condition and price of the trade ins and I was happy with the machine and cost.

How did I not see all the plastic in the showroom? How am I going to rumble through my woods in that. The bucket looks like a sand toy compared the scoop on my dear beast.

Regrets.

You'll be fine. Just takes some adjusting. What you need to worry about is pictures of the 3038. Without them,,,, it didn't happen....
