I took the FEL off my L3410 for the first time and I'm having one heck of a time getting it back on. I can get either the front pins in or the pins on the arms but can't get both to line up. If the front lines up and the pins go in, the arms won't drop down to line up, when the arms line up the front won't. HELP!!!!

Hi Joe,

On my JD855 the installation process of the FEL involves getting it partially in position, then hooking up the hydraulic lines. Once hooked up, you then use the hydraulics to get the final position.

Do you have the hydraulics hooked up when trying get the pins to line up. I do not take my FEL off very often.
My mind seems to go blank about all the little things that are needed to get the parts lined up.

This may be a different beast alltogether, but I've done my FEL so often I can put it on or off in under a minute - maybe even less than 30 seconds except for the stopping the engine, hopping off part. Easy! Kubota BX1500.

Lines are hooked up, but the holes in the front or on the arms won't line up to allow the pins in, comes close but not enough.

I never really did get the hang of taking mine off and putting it back on. Not according to the directions anyway. I just kept playing with the joystick until things lines up and it still took less than five minutes.
Are both the tractor and loader on fairly level ground?

Got the dude back on tonight, had to use a small sledge hammer to get the front holes lined up. Guess I just needed to convince it a bit. Thanks for the help guys.

Most likely you need to sand/grind back the paint buildup a little to allow a good fit. This is quite common on the new installs and only a little too much paint can really make it hard to get the loader back on. John
