Help-Purchase replacement tractor

AchingBack, Yes he does. Any of the implements that I would be purchasing would/should work on the 2615 as far as I can tell. Hp was not the real concern, but after driving the 2615 some more I just could not get comfortable with the leg/foot room. Therefore, I moved on to the 2815 for comparison with the Kubota and the Kioti.

New Tractor Owner!!!

Sorry Mahindra guys, but............

This was a really tough call. I was blessed with three good tractor choices and three good dealers, but like many have posted before it finally comes down to a 澱est fit gut feel and I decided to go with the Kioti CK30HST with the KL130 FEL, weighted R-1s, 5 Ft Kioti RFM and 5 Ft box blade. Also popping for a sunshade-wife insisted with all the seat time we are planning. We are scheduled for delivery on Saturday. I will post pictures soon.

A canopy is a must as far as I'm concerned, at least anywhere south of the Arctic Circle, and if it keeps momma happy, then everyone's happy.

Well, you're in the Mahindra forum, so you're probably not going to get a lot of guys telling you not to get one. But I think you'll likely be happy with either Mahindra or Kibota. I've spent time on both, and it generally comes down to what fits best. I've never been on a Kioti.

I had the same choice for dealers as you: local guy in Vacaville (only 35 miles away) eager for business, or Dave up in Red Bluff ('bout 75 miles). I went local and have been very happy with the experience. They delivered to my front door, and we did the deal in the kitchen. Happy as a pig in s___ ever since, and Dave was happy too, since he assembles all the Mahindras sold in the Western US.

I always recommend the local dealer. He is the guy that supports your community, stays open late when you are in a bind, pushes hard for that questionable cause on a warranty claim, etc. Just for clarity, we do distribute all the Mahindra tractors on the west coast and western Canada, but we do not assemble all of them. Many dealers take their units in crates to save on freight and build them themselves.

As for the purchase of the CK30, that is a good machine and artp will be happy. I prefer Red over Orange of course, but you really can't knock the CK30.

Oops! Yeah, I meant distribute rather than assemble, though I know you do a little more than just transfer the things from one truck to another.

I tend to interchangeably use the terms because of my early experience (early 60's) as a helper at a Yamaha "distributor" in the Northwest. I did "assembly," but it was things like putting batteries, handlebars, seats, tires and wheels on the machines before they went out to the "showroom."

'Course, the "distributor" was our neighbor Dave, who was also the sole dealer for his "territory," and the "showroom" was the lawn in front of his house. I did the assembly in his shop, and we sold about a bike a week. He was also the area's Case dealer, again on his lawn and out of his farm shop.

Depends on the dealer's needs. Tractors come double stacked, less tires/rims, batteries, seats, and SMVs, etc. If a dealer wants a double stack of the same model, it is a matter of gathering the loose items and putting those and the stack on the trailer. If he wants an odd number of a particular model, we break down the stacks and go at it that way. If they want them built, they get run through our facility and built, and often a loader installed. Then there is the time processing the orders, communicating with the truck drivers, triple checking serial numbers, completing Bill of Ladings, invoice requests, inbound material receipts and keeping inventory in order.

Another part is anticipating sales and putting this info across to Mahindra. Tractors are ordered by Mahindra months in advance, so it gets tricky. Sometimes we end up short on one model and with an abundance of another. The good news is that the abundant tractor will normally get a discount, rebate, volume incentive or something, and that always benefits the customer.
