HELP! Replacement tire needed!

I blew one of my front tires yesterday and I'm having a tough time finding it's replacement. The tire is a 4.00x10. The tire is on the front of a 4wd tractor, so I need to stick close to the 18" diameter. Currently there is a bar tire on, so I'd use a bar tire or a agressive turf tire in a comparable size. I do know that a 4"x12" trailer rim will fit the hub, but I'm still having trouble with the diameter. Any thoughts?

Are you sure it is a 4.00x10" tire?? I looked in the TSC, Northern Tool and Agri-supply catalogs and found no listings at all. Could it be a 4.10 or 4.20 tire instead of a 4.00? Is the 10 on it the ply rating or the rim diameter?

Definetly a 4x10. The 10 is the rim size, which apparently is part of the problem.

You might try Carlisle Tires They seem to have a great assortment of tires. Several in the 4.0 X 10 , 12, 15 range. I'm not sure if they have the exact size/diameter you need.

Best I can tell, Carlisle does not carry a 4x10 ag tire. I do have a couple of their 18x8.5-10 tires on order. I'm hoping these will fit a new pair of rims for turf usage. I despiratly need a pair of tires for playing in the dirt. I'd like to use ATV mud tires, but it's very hard to find them in less than a 22" diameter.
