Kioti LK3054XS
At least he won't eat the chickens, yippiekioti muth........ well you get the idea.

I also found out that the XS means it's a commercial version of the 3054. 152 hours, much of the last one was me trying to get a rock in the bucket.... pitiful, demoralizing. I finally just got off the tractor and picked it up and moved it. Guess there is only one direction from here.

No leaks, do dings, some scratches here and there but mostly lookin' like a fairly new machine. It's an 06.

Got a question, the previous owner told me that he just uses the first stage of the two stage clutch for everything. What is the second stage for if he is correct? Besides making my left leg tired that is. I tried both ways and am too new to tractors to see a difference. It's been serviced regularly and it came with filters for the service That's due. I plan to do it myself and get to know kioti better Plus there is a home made set of forks and the three point hitch kit if I remove the backhoe.

I have a little more experience with the back hoe than the loader. And have some ditching projects to do so it will stay on for a while. It's real slick how it comes off tho. Just a lever and lower the stabilizers and and ugly bill if I forget to undo the hoses before driving away. If I can learn how to use the loader I'm pretty sure I can get a whole lot done w/this little bugger.

Thought of another question, it seemed of to shift from one gear to another with the half clutch thing, but to go from turtle to rabbit with the lever on the lower left near the shuttle lever, I stopped till I had more info. I'm being very stingy with rpms right now. I don't care much for the noise that's part of it. Can I shift while moving the to the rabbit... [sorry I don't know the nomenclature yet, He forgot the manual.] from the turtle with the afore mentioned lever near the shuttle?

Sorry for the rambling questions.

Lucky you. Welcome to TBN and Kioti ownership. Don't know if you can shift on the fly with that model. You'll get the hang of the bucket soon enough, just keep using the tractor, and definitely read the manual once you have one.
Have fun, be safe.

Typically, you only have to press a two stage clutch fully if you want to stop the PTO or shift the PTO into (and perhaps out of) gear.

I was going to make a wise crack about "shoot it before it raids your budget!" but it would only be a joke, and I see you had a question...more important than a joke any day.

I hope your tractor serves you well!

A couple hundred more hours and you will be a "bucket" expert.. it just takes time and practice.. I remember how frustrated I was at first about 20 years ago with my first tractor with a Front End Loader. I could not seem to scoop up anything. In fact (and this hurts to say) I stationed my wife out front for a while to let me know if I got any material in the bucket. I just could not tell what I was doing way out there.:eek: But I learned, and you will too. Good Luck with your new machine.

No.
You need to stop to shift the high/low range.

You can't shift anything without the "first stage clutch".High/low range selector(rabbit/turtle)and foreward/reverse shuttle both require use of the first stage clutch and the tractor needs to be stationary;the transmission(lever on your left by the steering wheel)also needs the clutch disengaged, but that may be shifted "on the fly". The second stage of the clutch(all the way down) is for the PTO; must be used to select either of the PTO options(540 or 1000)

Thanks for the skinny on the clutch. I was hoping that was the case. I had a recording session here all day and didn't get to play grownup at all. Tomorrow for sure. Cleaning all the bar ditches will shorten curve some.

All coyote jokes are welcome. Any other tractor in New Mexico would just be an implement for me. Kioti just plain fits. It's cosmic!

I have half a mind to go get it but it's a 2.5 hr round trip and I have to go there monday to close the land deal for which the tractor is partial payment. I think understanding the manual is critical to avoid costly problems. The seller is a phone call away if a question arises. Thanks for the welcome and advise.

Thanks for the encouragment and the courage to commiserate. I realize it's a skill that you have to learn. If she'd have been there I'd have asked her to do the same. I know about the rod that tells where the bucket is but it is only visible when bucket is nearly level. Tomorrow I'll get at it again and maybe get some of it figured out.

Thanks for that. I'm glad I waited before experimenting.
