Help w/towing specs on a 1/2 ton PU

Your second post looks more realistic. In any case you should have no problem hauling a 3200 lb tractor on a 7K trailer and be well within your limit

so for example....if the max trailer rating is 6700 lbs and my trailer weighs 2k plus 3200 for the tractor ( = total of 5200) then I should have 1500lbs of "available" weight to haul - is this right?

If so, then how much does a FEL or rotary cutter weigh if I were to add these?

FEL about 1000 lbs. Mowers can really vary though with my 5' light duty mower weighing about 700 lbs, hurts like heck when it drops onto your fingers and your bones turn to soup. Smaller items like box blades can be as light as 500. Higher quality and heavier duty usually mean heavier.

You may want to check on the weight of the tractor again. A 4 X 4 JD 990 with liquid filled, weighted rear tires without attachments is going to be over 3,200 lbs; more like 3,800 lbs. The tractor without implements is pretty useless, especially a FEL unless you are only going to plow. Without a loader, you're going to need balast in the front. With the loader and no implements, you're going to need ballast in the rear and/or weighted tires. Liquid filled rear tires will greatly enhance the tractor's traction and will help stablilze it when using a FEL.
