I agree on the dog theory, my guess would also be large hound or G. Dane, 2008 model, Black and Brown, wearing Brown leather collerI have Anatolian Sheperds and they have tracks almost that size, one also leaves a print like that since she has long nails. Most coyotes I have ever seen, trapped or shot, always where in a "gait" unless stopped.
Also looks very much like a Basset Hound track, especially a full grown male. Their feet are humongous and they love to track.
Note these are very dangerous animals - a person can drown in their slobber.
I'm with big foot Zombie werewolf only thing it could be![]()
Your close ... but to the trained eye that track is from a 6 yr old Treeing Walker Coon dog. By the right side of the track I would say an ancestor of House's Tom Tom ... possibly Knob Creek Lead. The left side of the track indicates when the hound was just 2 he tangled with bob cat and suffered injury. Your on the money with the collar with the exception being there is a copper owners tag on that collar.
It's hard to identify any animal with just a paw print or two to look at. When tracking an animal in fresh snow and you know the habits of the animal you can pretty much figure out what it is. We have no wolves in our area but plenty of coyote, dogs, and foxes. The wild canines stride is one foot in front of the other. Their paw prints are in a straight line. Dogs walk straddle legged. Their paw prints are side by side.
