I think it should be a rule that if you are going to ask an electrical wiring question (which is fine) you need to take pictures and maybe even a diagram. .

Good rule, and another rule is that there shall be no more than 5 posts before the OP returns to provide some additional information or at least say he's more confused than we are. This thread reminds me of the TV commercial where all the women are in the hair dressers with the big dryer over their heads so they can't hear, but they keep asking each other questions and getting answers totally unrelated to the original question.

Actually single point ground/neutral bonding is true in any state that has adopted the 2008 NEC...FYI this was "just" changed in the 2008 NEC, prior to that point the "grounding conductor" or neutral and the "Equipment ground" ground wire were bonded in every sub-panel...

I cannot vouch for the dates this was adopted, but I do know that in 1998, the electrical inspector here would not pass a sub-panel that had the neutral bonded - and I know this first hand.

It could be that the panel in the RV is bonded, causing the problem.

As for having GFCI on all locations that RV's use, why not just require the RV to have a GFCI in the plug like many window A/C units have?

I still think its a issue with a ground though the chassis of the camper and the earth/ground itself. This is if the wiring is correct. Re-read my earlier post about my GFI outlets in my barn and plugging my boat or my block heater in on my tractor.

By the way, all outdoor stuff at my house is on a GFI including the hot tub. Its on a 50 amp 220 circuit.

I think I'm up to code at least code from 2003 when I renovated my house.
every outlet in the kitchen, the baths, the basement, the garage, and outside are gfi protected.

Only have one in the basement that nuisance trips when I touch a nearby switch.
