Yanmar F18D
I have owned several years and really been a great one. I always keep the services up, well here's my problem. I put it up in the barn for the winter and took it out and it didn't really want to run right. The PTO and all hydraulics work as should. I replaced the hydraulic filter screw-on as well as the screen filter and put in all new fluid and still not working right. The problem is it is a hydrastatic and when I put it in gear to go it will rev up but will not pull or if so extremely slow, in any gears.

I would appreciate any help you can give me with this, i am pretty handy but this has me stumped. Thanks in advance for your help. Stumped in Alabama.

It does but i dont know how to check this system, i do know since i've owned it new/used the shifter 1-3 and R has been stiff but never had any problems. I am in joppa, al and appreciate your help, just trying to get this figured out so i can get my chores done and garden in.

I have no idea if the transmissions are similar, but my 276D did the same thing. It turned out to be a broken spring. On mine, I removed the block that mounts on top of the transmission. I removed a plunger type thing and there was a broken spring inside. The block is easily removed, so it might be worth a look.

I'm with Winston and Silvertramp if they are the same. But I would tend to believe this maybe a good parts tractor. Esp. close to you as it is and being a"D". The owner may have some info on the Fx series that may help. It a beauty.....LOL.

Been looking all over for you.... This is the best I can do, this is on a ym336d w/powershift, should be similar, give this post a try & hopefully it will lead you on the correct path.
