kubota 2410 with loaded R4s
Well, here she goes. I have a 2410 with loader. My goal is to add a single spool control valve for one double-acting cylinder. The cylinder will power angle a modified truck snowplow that will be mounted on my loader bucket. I am hydraulically challenged, but I think I can do this with the some help. I have searched and read and searched and read and still can't get it thru my head. I guess I need a diagram or something. I would really appreciate it if someone could explain it to me in detail....meaning exactly where and which hoses to hook in to, un-hook, tee in to, un-hooking from the loader cv or, the tractor body? Also if you could suggest a valve that would work and where to buy it and fittings. Thanks in advance!

Mick,
I don't have a diagram but here is a good explanation that was posted by Bird. The full thread is
'Adding rear hydraulics to B7500' in Kubota Owning and also has another way to connect.
www.northerntool.com has control valves, hoses etc.

>The "simpler" way to do it is a hose from the PB port on the loader CV to the inlet port
on the rear CV and a hose from the outlet port on the rear CV back to the tractor where your PB hose now
goes. That way the rear CV does NOT need to be a PB valve (but it absolutely MUST be an open centered
valve), and you have less plumbing, few hoses, and lower cost. The only drawback (if there is one) is that you
will not be able to simultaneously raise the 3-point hitch while moving the rear CV lever. <

BTW - do you own a Morgan?

tsh3,

Thanks for the response! No, I don't own a Morgan. I'll do some searching for the threads that you mentioned. Thanks again!

Mick, I didn't respond earlier because I'm not absolutely sure about the 2410; however, the optional rear hydraulic outlet block that I used on my B2710 came with an instruction sheet that shows it is for the B1700, B2100, and B2400, I know it also fits the B2910, so I would assume it works on the 2410. It's part #6C040-3925-0 and costs close to $70. If you use that, you simply remove the existing cover (2 bolts), replace it with the outlet block and run a hose from the outlet to the new valve's inlet port, and one from the new valve's outlet port to the inlet on the block.

The alternative is to use the power beyond port on the front end loader valve, which has already been described.

Bird,
Thanks for the info. I'll check into the optional rear hyraulic outlet block for my 2410. That sounds like the proper set-up, if it is available?!? If not, I finally understand the other method; run the power beyond hose from the loader cv to the inlet of the new cv, then the return line from the new cv back to the tractor where the power beyond is currently hooked into. I have no need to simultaneously run the 3pt and the new valve. Thanks again!
