Thanks everyone! We called all over the place and about every rental yard I can think of for mile around and there is no one renting post drivers in our area so it looks like a post hole digger will have to work! Thanks again

I would give a call to some (farm) fencing contractors for a price. These guys have all the right toys to be done in short order. The guys that I've seen use a pounder (on a SS) that drills a pilot hole first, all in the same machine. I have used this method up in Fred. Co. MD. I got a 4" auger for the skidsteer and drilled a pilot hole, then used a 3pt. pounder on the tractor, or on the hills just pushed them in with the excavator. Your soils will tell you what wayit will let you put these posts in!:laughing:
