I gotta say, based on questions asked and comments made, you may just want to step away from the vehicle and let someone qualified take it. This is not meant as insulting, just personal experience and years of offering online tech help to those without mechanical knowledge and skill.
No offense taken on my part and I don't take it as an insult at all. Even thought I lack mechanical skills, beyond brakes and easy to get to stuff, I enjoy doing something different as a change of pace. I have a desk job and like to be outside or in the garage doing something different. I rarely change my own oil because I ALWAYS spill a bunch and have a mess to clean up. I do know when to let the pros handle things. I am almost there with this. I have really only spent about 45 minutes on it in the garage. I have spent more tiime on here and looking at my haynes manual.
That makes sense now about the light still coming on when the wire is disconnected. I will try taking the tank off and clean the tank. if that doesn't work, i will take it in. Thanks again for all of the help!
