Chickens do a great job in turning anything green [back] to brown.
And do a great job of leaving behind fertilizer to promote more growth of grass and weeds. Although ducks and geese are even better at it.

Organic "weed and feed". What more could you want? :laughing:

James - yep much easier to keep the weeks knocked out with a drag. Should drag it for better footing for the horses anyway.

Our arena is 250' X 250' and our 96"X96" drag is pulled behind a Polaris Diesel Ranger.
we spin around into the most aggressive tyne pattern and with a pallet or two on top.

Then, 4WD {Low Range} saddle up and put the spurs to that mule.
Every week or so is all you need to keep the grass and weeds from rooting.
