Help with yellow diesel cans, please.

ME...I got a 7000Lb flatbed trailer i haul my tractor on. When I bought it, I went to TSC and bought a 50 gal tank,hose and push/pull pump. Had it welded on the front of the trailer when it was new. Now when I need fuel, its 50 gal fill at a time. When tractor needs filled, just drive up to the trailer and pump a few, hose in the tank, and fill'r'up!. No gas cans, no funnels, no muss, no fuss. AND, i got extra tongue weight on the trailer. It doesnt sit on its jack stand when not in use. Sits on 2 8 x 8 landscape timbers under the frame below the tank. Also when I go do custom work, got all the gas i need along with me.

You can put diesel fuel in a blue "Kerosine" can, it won't mind.

If the filler on the tractor has a screen on it the funnel may provide more fuel than the screen can handle and will overflow.
Check out Harv's fill system. It's simple, cost effective and will probabbly work better than all the others.
Syphons or a small hand operated pump will work too.
As for a yellow can any container that is made for hydro carbons will work and can have some yellow paint sprayed on it.
Your wife will love the smell of diesel impregnated clothing going into the washer.

I have one of the caps with the pump... not bad.. just takes a while.

My flexible spout broke this weekend, so I was back to using the hand pump.. ho-hum...
