A few of my trees have got some leaves with orange spots, black spots and a few orange leaves, and one or two that has went black and crinkly. The orange looks like the color of a maple leaf in the fall.I took a pic-

I also see trees with with the white milde that curls the leaves.I guess I just use a powder on that?

That looks like some type of fungus to me. My Uncle sprays his trees several times a year. Not sure what he uses, but when I talk to him again I will ask. You might try your local county extension office, or if you have a major university nearby could check with them. The University of Missouri has a horticulture department. http://muextension.missouri.edu/index.htm

I couldn't look at the pic because my home connection is so slow, but it sounds like cedar apple rust to me. I have a gala which is pretty susceptible to that and has always had some spots. This year I decided to get serious about it and got some Bonide Fruit Tree spray. It contains insecticides and a fungicide, so it can be the only spray you need. Both Miller Nurseries and Stark Bros recommend it. You can probably find it locally cheaper. It may be too late to do much good this year, though I'd probably start spraying anyway. Next year follow a spray schedule that will prevent the fungus from getting a start. You can also look into Neem oil sprays if you are more organic leaning. It is supposeed to be useful against both insects and fungi, and I do use it some. The Bonide stuff seemed more effective....this year no spots on the gala. Get the concentrate and you can make gallons of the spray.

It may be:

Apple Tree Rust

My apple trees get this every year. It blows over from the property next door, they have several cedar trees upwind from my apple trees. Hasn't really hurt the apple trees, just a bit unsightly.

It looks like Apple Scab to me, but any fungicide that works on rust will usually work on scab. One important way to reduce any fungal disease problems is to rake and burn or put leaves in the garbage each fall. The fungus over winters on the ground and the spring rain activates the spors and the fungal problems continue year after year if the leaves arn't removed.

I've got the same problem. Its apple cedar rust, a fungus.
Use anti-fungide early spring through the end of spring once a week.
